In June and July, the manufacturing sector saw several major investment announcements involving companies such as Toyota, Electra, and Wistron. Below are six other notable announcements in alphabetical order, covering companies from ADM to TTM Technologies.

ADM

Agricultural company ADM will invest more than $103 million to modernize its North American headquarters in Decatur, Illinois. According to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, the investment will create 50 new full-time jobs, and ADM will retain more than 1,000 full-time employees. Pritzker stated in a release that ADM "operates one of the world's largest integrated agricultural processing hubs," converting corn and soybeans into fuel, ingredients, and a variety of other products.

The modernization project will involve upgrading the soybean processing plant and corn wet milling facility, replacing control systems with new technology. According to the release, the project will "enhance soybean crushing and refining operations, improve isolated protein, textured vegetable protein, and other protein production lines, and modernize warehousing elevators and corn milling capabilities."

According to the release, ADM is Decatur's largest employer and has received tax credits from the state's "Economic Growth Economy" program for its commitments related to employment and project matters.

BeOne Medicines

Cancer treatment drug manufacturer BeOne Medicines will launch a $300 million expansion of its Princeton West Innovation Campus in Hopewell Township, New Jersey. The expansion will add a 145,000-square-foot small molecule manufacturing facility; the campus currently focuses on biologics production. According to a Hopewell Township announcement, upon completion, the entire campus will total 545,000 square feet. The investment is expected to create 120 new jobs.

Kevin Kuchinski, Hopewell Township committee member and finance liaison, said in a statement: "BeOne Medicines' $300 million investment at the Princeton West Innovation Campus is the culmination of a 10-year effort to redevelop the former Bristol Myers site. This investment will further diversify our tax base and help ease the burden on residential taxpayers."

According to the announcement, BeOne Medicines has received approval from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority for a "Next New Jersey Manufacturing Program Award" as part of the expansion. The incentive program aims to encourage large manufacturers to create high-quality jobs and strengthen key industries.

H-One

Automotive supplier H-One will expand its North American subsidiary KTH Texas by building a new 300,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Seguin, Texas. According to a City of Seguin announcement, the company has committed to investing at least $100 million in the expansion, including construction, machinery, and equipment. The plant will use three automated stamping lines to produce ultra-high-strength steel and aluminum components. Construction will begin before the end of this year, with operations planned to start in April 2028. By 2031, the plant is expected to employ 170 advanced manufacturing workers.

Jabil

Jabil, a global engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions provider, plans to invest more than $119 million to build a new production facility in Marshall County, Mississippi. The project will support customers in the data center infrastructure market and create approximately 2,200 jobs, according to an announcement from Governor Tate Reeves. The facility will be built on an existing 1.5 million-square-foot facility that Jabil is purchasing and renovating. The project builds on Jabil's previous $70 million investment in Marshall County to deploy X-ray sterilization capabilities.

According to the announcement, Mississippi is supporting the project through its "Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive Program." The state's workforce development and strategic office, AccelerateMS, as well as the Tennessee Valley Authority, are also assisting with the project.

TTM Technologies

TTM Technologies has completed a $130 million manufacturing facility in DeWitt, New York, adjacent to the company's existing production facility. The new plant will produce ultra-high-density interconnect printed circuit boards, primarily for the defense industry, and conduct related research and development. New York Governor Kathy Hochul stated in a release that the facility is one of the first specialized plants in the United States dedicated to manufacturing UHDI PCBs and advanced packaging.

According to Hochul's announcement, Empire State Development will provide up to $17 million in tax credits, contingent on TTM creating 400 jobs at the new facility and retaining more than 600 existing jobs in the state. ESD also awarded TTM a $5 million capital grant for machinery and equipment reimbursement. The company will receive a $30 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense for the expansion.
